A versatile personality, with plenty of intuition, wisdom and blends in himself. An educationist, academician, pragmatist, Trade Union Leader and above all a humanist. All these roles harmoniously suit him while the children & teachers adore him and look upon him as a mentor.
An Educational Institution of repute based on sound principles to absorb future life’s challenges, was the dream of the founder Dr.M.Balakrishnan. Dr.M.Balakrishnan was the Correspondent of the renowned SBOA Schools in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, for well over 12 years, managing, as an exclusive executive head for about one thousand teaching and non-teaching staff and a whopping students strength of 30,000.
Who We Are
Sri Bala Vidyalaya was established by Sri Bala Nanda Educational Trust in the year 2001. Sri Bala Nanda Educational Trust is the brain child of Dr.M.Balakrishnan, a renowed Educationist and Trade Union Leader. The Trust was registered with the District Registrar, Chennai – North vide registration No. 2877 of 2005.
The motto of the Trust:“Aspire and Achieve”
The main objective of the Trust is to establish educational institutions on the pattern of English Public Schools at places where there is less concentration, adopting the quality of a model school and run the school providing good ambience / atmosphere for an enjoyable quality education to all.

My Dear Parents, Teachers and Students — “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all”. These are the words of the Greek philosopher Aristotle. I am proud indeed to say that this is what we at SBV follow.
“Excellence in academics” is our prime concern though sports and games and other extra curricular activities form an integral part of SBV. We endeavour to give every child who enters the portal of our school, “a holistic education”.
“Success in life comes when you simply refuse to give up, with goals so strong that obstacles, failures and loss only act as Motivation”.
